I started dropshipping not too long ago. My first initial thought was, “It is a scam because one does not have the items in storage.” The concept is is that you sell a product you don’t have in inventory and act as a middleperson of sorts to facilitate trade between the wholeseller and the buyer.
That said, I won’t lie! It comes across as cheating in a way because, you can go through the same channels (Alibaba, Silk Road – just playing, Walmart etc.) and get the same items from whence the dropshipper is getting them.
But then is it truly cheating? Sometimes folks may not have the time nor energy to commit to searching for a product, especially one that is hard to find! That is where the dropshipper comes into play! To scour the net and real life wholesalers for the items they need. It is not cheating just as it is not laziness on the part of the buyer!
That said, dropshipping is truly not laziness as it is just another method of finding sometimes what are hard to find – and highly in demand – products! Be well and good day!
